Specialty/Age Groups Treated - I take a person-centered, intersectional, and trauma-informed approach to treatment. I have experience working with people across the lifespan (children, adolescents, and adults) and in various settings, which has shaped the approach I take in considering how one's environment, life context, culture, and more impact their day-to-day lived experience. I specialize in working with individuals who experience anxiety, ADHD, depression, adjustments to major life stressors/changes, relationships, LGBTQIA+ issues, women's/girl's issues, and parent coaching and skill building.

The first session with me is focused on learning more about you (or your child). I want to understand more about you, what you care about and value, and what your goals for therapy are. In the first session, when I ask questions about your history and experiences, I encourage folks to share what feels most comfortable. It is important that we co-create a space that feels supportive to your healing and change process. I highly value feedback and am happy to make adjustments to session structure to best meet your needs.

I enjoy using a wide range of approaches. I enjoy using expressive arts to engage in sensory exploration, creative thinking, and to support deeper understanding of experiences that may feel hard to find the words for. I enjoy exploring parts of self through use of visual arts and journaling. Creating plans for accessing and building coping and soothing strategies is an important part of my approach. I have training in trauma informed treatment, collaborative problem solving, and draw from DBT, IFS, expressive arts therapy, mindfulness, and CBT.

I am a licensed certified social worker. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Portland in 2016 and graduated with my Master’s degree in Social Work, focusing on trauma and immigration issues, from Boston College in 2018.
I have worked with youth and families in crisis, gaining experience in crisis management, stabilization, and in-home therapy. My background includes working with children, adolescents, and their families on a wide range of needs, including truancy, self-esteem and self-confidence, sexuality and gender exploration, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
My approach is person-centered, mindfulness-focused, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I have experience with collaborative problem-solving with children and families, and I use the philosophy that kids do well if they can as a guiding principle in my practice when working with youth.
