  • A first session is an intake session, which involves gathering information about all areas of a client's life to get a full picture and understanding of who they are and why they are seeking therapy. After the intake session, a regular therapeutic session will feel more conversational, allowing for all emotions, concerns, and hopes to be present. Sometimes various art forms will be used in session, which luckily does not require any skill, but rather an open mind and willingness to learn!

  • I have a second master's in Spiritual Psychology and a teaching credential, which means that I do not just provide therapy but also education and tools to empower my clients. I believe in the phrase, "Teach a man (human) to fish and you feed him (them) for a lifetime." My desire is for clients to not need me but see me as a guide who can point clients back to their own inner wisdom and toward their value system to make the best decisions for their own lives.

  • I have been rock climbing for almost 16 years!

Jennifer works with preteens, teens, and adult clients navigating identity issues, major life transitions, and mental health issues impacting their daily lives such as depression, anxiety, trauma, developmental disabilities, low self-esteem/self-compassion, dating and relationship issues, career uncertainty, body image issues, and grief. She specializes in working with highly sensitive people who are learning how to navigate life with this unique trait. Her clients generally want to feel more comfortable in their own skin and nurture qualities such as capability, self-trust, self-compassion, clarity, confidence, and wholeness.

Jennifer holds a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in expressive arts therapy, which is a process-oriented, playful, and creative approach to healing that can incorporate all art forms, regardless of skill level. She also incorporates DBT, CBT, ACT, IFS, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and person-centered therapy to ensure that her clients' unique needs are being met.

Jennifer considers herself to be a warm, empathetic, and practical-minded therapist who is passionate about empowering her clients to live full, satisfying lives that are in alignment with their values.
