Jen Spanedda, MSW (Clinician and Client Care Coordinator)

The Artful Life welcomed Jen to the practice as a graduate intern in Fall 2018, and she has remained a part of our team ever since. Jen has worked in a variety of mental health and human service settings, but has primarily focused her experience in the horse world as a PATH-certified therapeutic riding instructor for children and adults with special needs. As an MSW graduate and future LCSW, she hopes to continue her knowledge of and advocacy for equine-assisted therapies, but also has been increasingly drawn into the world of psychodrama and the other expressive arts therapies that The Artful Life provides.

Jen's ever-evolving role at The Artful Life is lovingly referred to as "Director of First Impressions," and encompasses most aspects of collaboration with current and future clients as well as maintaining connections with collaborative agencies in the greater North Shore area. Clinically, Jen is committed to creating authentic and holistic connections, using strengths-based approaches to help her clients develop a confident inner voice and sense of identity. In her personal life, Jen is an avid traveler, loving cat-mom, horse enthusiast, and all-around smiley human being. Be sure to catch her peeking out from the admin office!
